Typography
A careful blend of designer fonts were selected that suited Skull Tech’s brand. The title font exhibits a flatter text- similar to a command prompt, creating a tech feel.
The footer and menu’s required a high degree of visibility on a variety of screen sizes- a sans-serif font was chosen.
The page headings needed to stand out as a unique feature while also giving a more distinct quirky feel to each page, so a lobster font was selected.
Color
Skull Tech’s colour scheme was carefully selected using a black & white palette. A neutral blue was chosen as part of the logo, which was carefully offset on each page using a matching red on the menu titles.
The footer utilized the same colour with varying degrees of opacity. The blended font flowed seamlessly with the existing palette.
Scalability
In order to keep the website scaling correctly on multiple screens, the website was coded to hide and show elements within the header, navigation menu and footer.
Each screen size shows a reorganised view of the elements. Images that needed to scale, such as the header’s background were provided in multiple sizes- resulting in each device receiving an optimal performance.
Design
The design of the page was built with three factors primarily in mind, ease of use, simple layout and seamless integration.
The whole user experience is uniquely defined from the administrative account, which can configure pricing, product placement, stock levels and payment types.
Every category and main page can be reached from each individual page- ensuring the user experience is consistent and easy to navigate.
